Cornish Cultural Hub Tewynblustri

Some great events have taken place, organised and hosted by partners in the Cornish Cultural Hub Tewynblustri as part of the ongoing Hub project.

This page helps share some of those events.

Blystra Arts - Cornish Cultural Hub Tewynblustri

Blystra Arts is a Newquay based performance art company who put on and create unique arts’ events and performances that are interactive, fun and accessible, designed to engage the whole community. Performance and visual art are the main art forms of the organisation. Blystra Arts is a Community Interest Company, with the main aim of the organisation to cultivate a positive image of Newquay both within Newquay, across Cornwall and to the rest of the UK.

They create community performance pieces and artwork themselves and with groups, as well as promoting other professional arts’ events within their community. Their projects and activities offer Newquay audiences a unique and quirky experience, using the arts to engage and work with groups that are disaffected, disadvantaged or not exposed to much arts and culture activity. Blystra is a collective of artists and practitioners.

Sunday Vibes Sessions (April 2022)

Vedina Rose

The Celtic Lounge is pleased to be hosting Vedina Rose, who although not at all Celtic in her music allows the Cornish Cultural Hub – Tewynblustri to share music of a different genre. Cornish folk have travelled the world sharing our Celtic themed culture so, it is only right that occasionally we share other cultures here in Cornwall.

Vedina Rose is a London based Trip Hop Soul singer With a Bohemian Bantu Twist. Drawing on her rich multicultural heritage and unorthodox musicianship she creates Art that is passionate, original and drenched in meaning. Her expressive vocal stylings have earned her comparisons to Bjork, Kate Bush and Sade.
