Volunteer Projects
At Newquay Heritage Archive & Museum we are fortunate to have a growing number of young volunteers who have useful skills for the modern world. Many of these have their own projects and interests and we encourage them to produce and share these with the public all part of what museums do in the 21st century.
These may include environmental projects, historical research projects or those that help record our part of the world for future generations to see. We want to share these to a wider audience and encourage younger people to engage with preservation, conservation and sharing through projects that interest them.
Benjamin has been volunteering at the museum for two days a week since 2017 and has contributed helping catalogue our archive of material. We have gone out on occasional trips and Ben also is a keen photographer and video maker.
Here we are very pleased to share a video he compiles from images taken during 2020 a year which many of us want to forget due to the pandemic. But Ben has captured some beautiful and interesting views and he hopes that viewers will enjoy it.
