Newquay Heritage Trail

The Newquay Heritage Trail is a project led by Newquay Museum Group. Working alongside Newquay Conservation Area Group and Newquay Old Cornwall Society it aims to celebrate and share the town’s rich history.

A series of heritage plaques will be located on buildings and sites throughout Newquay. Each will include a brief overview and a QR code linked to a dedicated webpage on this website. These pages will feature historic photographs, information about the places and people connected to the sites, as well as additional stories from Newquay’s past.

The trail aims to encourage residents and visitors alike to make new discoveries about Newquay. This will help in the preservation and promotion of the town’s history and cultural heritage for future generations.

The project has been made possible through grant funding from Newquay Town Council

If you would like to get involved or would like to support the project in another way, we would be pleased to hear from you. Donations to support the placing of additional plaques would be most welcome. Perhaps you have a building which has an interesting history or well-known previous resident.
